She has been called a horror queen for her work in horror films. From 2012 to 2017, she was a part-time actress as Marnie Micheals in HBO's comedy drama show Girls. She received nominations for the Critics' Choice Award. Rose Armitage was the character she was playing in Get Out (2017). The show earned her nominations for the MTV Movie Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and many other awards.
