Katherine Heigl has revealed that she was brought up in a white bubble and how this realization affected the way she cared for her adoptive, multiracial kids. In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy" actress Katherine Heigl shared she was not concerned about the color of her skin until she met her adopted sister from South Korea. "I inquired of my sister, Meg whether she'd been treated one way when she was out in public with our parents and in a different manner in the time she was on her own without anyone else. She said: 'Oh, sure, I've seen everything!' Heigl revealed to Parents that this made her realize how foolish she was. She confessed that she was angry however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to help her children. Heigl along with her long-time husband -- the singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is an Black 8-year old girl that was adopted by the couple in 2012.
