Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she is the only person to be given 10/10 points in an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach later in life found her around the age of six. Her first competitive event was the national junior championships which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In 1970, she took home the title. At her first international event in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974, she was an all-around junior champion. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals aswell as one silver. In 1976, she was the first female athlete in the world who used a double backwards salto in order to take off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen she began her career in the entertainment field as a performer as a figure skater. With her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer in her teens. When she was a child she was an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Ice Capades was a show that featured skaters ice skating with actors.
