Then she moved to a regional theatre in Minnesota where she was cast as a character in a film mock documentary about beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). After making her screen debut as a ditzy but good-natured contestant, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
